چکیده

Introduction: This study was planned to determine the second line drug resistance and molecular epidemiological profiles of multidrug resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolates isolated from different geographical regions Turkey.
Material Method: In our study, 63 MDR M. were evaluated for susceptibility sent laboratories Turkey. Secondary antituberculosis drugs by indirect proportion method. Epidemiological origins using IS6110-RFLP spoligotyping methods.
Results: Cycloserine, ethionamide, capreomycin, thiacetozone, ofloxacin, kanamsin paraaminosalicylic acid rates 15.87%, 19.04%, 7.93%, 6.34%, 11.11%, 12.69% 6.34.%, respectively. According results, 11 patterns obtained, including 52 consisting 5 clusters a single isolate. When we compared results with spoligotype database in world; 42 forming identified as predefined spoligotypes (LAM7-TUR, LAM9, T clade). 10 showed characteristics U family. Of that produced patterns, 8 Haarlem spoligotypes. It found 2 had Orphan 1 isolate BOV Conclusion: LAM7-TUR, clade families are common country world determined.

Molecular characterization and second-line antituberculosis drug resistance patterns of multidrug-resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolates from the northern region of South Africa.

Despite South Africa being one of the high-burden multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) countries, information regarding the population structure of drug-resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains is limited from many regions of South Africa. This study investigated the population structure and transmission patterns of drug-resistant M. tuberculosis isolates in a high-burden setting of So...

Frequency and Molecular Characterization of Rifampicin-Resistance in rpoB Region of Multiple Drug Resistance (MDR) Isolates from Tuberculosis Patients in Southern Endemic Region of Iran

The aim of this study was to investigate the frequency, location and type of rpoB gene mutations in Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) collected from patients in the southern endemic region of Iran. Drug susceptibility testing was determined by using the BACTEC system and the center for diseases control’s (CDC) standard conventional proportional method. In 29 rifampicin-resistant MTB (85%) isolat...

Mutations in the RpoB Gene of Multidrug-Resistant Mycobacterium Tuberculosis Isolates from Semarang, Indonesia

ABSTRACTTuberculosis is an infectious disease which occurs widely in the world and becomes one of the top 10 causes of death worldwide. Mutations of the RpoB gene cause the resistance of Mycobacterium tuberculosis to rifampicin that contributes to the occurrence of MDR-TB. This study aimed to determine the pattern of rpoB gene polymorphisms in the MDR M. tuberculosis in Semarang, Indonesia. Mos...

Prevalence and Molecular Characterization of Second-Line Drugs Resistance among Multidrug-Resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis Isolates in Southwest of China

This study aimed to investigate the prevalence of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) isolates resistant to the second-line antituberculosis drugs (SLDs) and its association with resistant-related gene mutations in Mycobacterium tuberculosis (M.tb) isolates from Southwest of China. There were 81 isolates resistant to at least one of the SLDs among 156 MDR-TB isolates (81/156, 51.9%). The ...
